I DID IT! My (Torben's) first marathon ever: The Big Sur Marathon, April 30 2006, California. My brother Martin who is a much better 'marathoner' than I, was so kind as to keep me in company through all the 26,2 miles (42.195 km) to the utmost of his abilities. Thanks for that Martin.

Martin and Astrid hoist the Danish Flag as we use to do on family birthdays in Denmark (As any true vexillologist would know the name of the Danish National Flag is Dannebrog). The picture was taken in the summer of 1990. Today both Astrid and Martin live abroad in great countries with great opportunities.
